So, with this possible pregnancy, I didn't have time to carefully watch Jeanna like I normally did to look for signs of pregnancy. The girls were working hard in school, and Cadence was always an onery little handful!!
The girls' birthday was approaching soon as well. Everyone had pretty much healed from losing Lakeisha, and our household was full of a lot of laughter and good times together.
"Haha! Daddy! I am winning! You'll never pass me now!"
"Oh, I don't think so, young lady... I'll ground you til forever!"
"You can't do that!"
"Um, sure I can, I"m the dad."
"Alright you two... it's getting late and I really want to work out before bedtime... run along!"
"Aw, man, Mom, I was winning!"
"Well, no need to worry, I'm sure you can beat him tomorrow."
"hehe... yep."
Haha, very funny..."
I was upstairs getting the girls to bed, and putting Cadence to bed, while Jeanna was downstairs exercising, and sure enough, it was confirmed! We were having another baby!
We were both hoping for a boy, so Jeanna started her diet of apples, and life carried on in the house. We finally taught Cadence to walk, meaning he had learned all his skills!
Jeanna tried to take it as easy as she could, napping during the day, and doing things she loved, like playing guitar.
Berjes was very helpful with Cadence, as a matter of fact it was while he was feeding Cade that his time came to leave us...
Thank goodness, Cadey was too little to understand what was going on, but the rest of us, knew all too well. This time, the other two girls were there to see their Grandpa die, and they were tore up. Again. Everyone's moods plunged to depression, and sadness.
I really worried about how this was going to affect Jeanna's pregnancy. She had a hard time sleeping, and the girls were moping around the house all the time. It was terrible, but there wasn't much I could do besides just love them through it.
Jeanna tried to spend some time working out, it did help boost her mood a little, but I was very concerned with her losing her last living parent.
Cadence was always nearby being irresistably cute, and that helped some,
but when I caught Jeanna having a mini-break down in the kitchen when she thought noone was listening, I talked her into letting us hire a babysitter while I was at work, and her checking into the Spa for the afternoon/evening.
Reluctantly she agreed. The girls' really liked our babysitter too, so it worked out great. While Symphony and Harmony worked on their homework together, poor Melody apparently was having a hard time, the babysitter told me later...
"Aw, Melody, it's ok to be sad. Do you wanna talk about it?"
"I miss my grandpa!"
"Oh, honey, of course you do..."
Me and Symphony decided we are all going to be doctors, and help people live longer."
"Oh, I think that would make your grandpa very proud!"
I came home just in time to put Cadence to bed, Jeanna was still at the Spa, and said she probably wouldn't be home until after 9.
However, it seems that life has been throwing us a lot of curve balls lately, and Jeanna went into labor at the spa!
Since she was right by the hospital, and we had the kids at home and in bed, she called and said she would go by herself to the hospital and made me promise I would stay with the kids.
We were not prepared for what she brought home...
Twins.......
GIRLS!
We welcomed Aria (Excitable and Friendly) and Sonata (Loves Outdoors and Athletic) to the family!!!
It wasn't that Jeanna wasn't happy about our kids, we love them all dearly.
It was just... everything. Her parent's death, our rash decision to have another child, not having one, but two children, and despite the fact that she ate nothing but apples, we ended up with girls instead of boys. And, of course, she was exhausted from labor too.
This of course, was not planned, and we had no idea how we were going to arrange the rooms/beds/cribs. Before, when we thought we were going to have just one boy, he was going to share a room with Cadence. But now, with 2 girls, we weren't sure! We decided that for now, we'd keep the girls in our room, and then move them later when we figured out a little better what to do.
"Shhhhh... hey, little Aria... let momma sleep, it's ok,...shhhhh.."
We finally decided that the girls would share a room with Cadence until he was a teen, and then we would either take the room in the attic and give him ours, or let him have the attic room. The girls seemed to both have a fascination with green, so we got them green cribs. Cadence's birthday party was today, and he wouldn't need his crib anymore, so we gave his crib to his little sister.
We kept the party super simple, we only invited Jeanna's brother and sister, and the kid's babysitter.
Happy Birthday Cadence!
I was so proud of my only boy!
He immediately sat down with the girls and their Aunt Kerrie and had cake. He really loved spending time with his family, I could tell. I think Cadence is going to be a Family-Oriented kinda guy, like his daddy!
And, after the guests left and Jeanna and I were upstairs taking care of the twins, the triplets celebrated their birthday into teenagers!
First up was Symphony!
She was gorgeous... I could tell by the way she had learned to bat those eyelashes, she was going to be a Flirty one, oh, my I was going to have to keep my eye on her!
Then came Melody!
She had my build, but her mother's beautiful eyes... she was so sweet and tenderhearted as well, I had a feeling she was going to be a Hopeless Romantic like me.
And lastly, Harmony!
Her and Melody still looked so much alike, it helped that Harmony wore reading glasses, so others could tell them apart. She was very quiet and Shy, and really enjoyed being around those she knew well.
All three girls had decided, upon witnessing their Grandma/Grandpa's death that they ALL wanted to be doctors. Oh wow. I was so proud of my girls and their high aspirations! They were so gorgeous, I knew I was going to have a hard time watching them grow up and start their own lives...
Jeanna was still trying to catch up on sleep, and the girls were so great about jumping right in and helping with their little sisters. They were so much help!
"Ohmigod Dad! She made a stinky!"
"Well, Symph, honey, you are going to have to change her, I'm feeding Aria here...."
"OH, Sonata, you sooooo owe me when you get older!"
After Symph and I got the girls changed and happy, I played them a little lullaby on my guitar... they loved it!
"Well, Dad, since you are working your guitar magic, I'm gonna go watch tv."
"OK, thanks hon!"
It felt really good to know, that while I was at work, Jeanna had 3 helpers at home with the twins. And Cadence, well, he was such a great, well behaved boy, we never had to worry about him.
My birthday to elder snuck up on me. I couldn't believe that Jeanna and I were about to grow old together! I must say, for becoming an old man, I think I took it pretty well.
While I was upstairs getting used to my new-old body, Jeanna was downstairs celebrating her arrival to elder as well...
Well, it was official. We were past the child bearing years, now on to raising our brood, and watching in amazement as they go out and make a life for themselves!
*buckey's notes*-Aw, Mikie's an elder now, and still has a quite a few skill points to reach before his LTW is complete.. I guess I better get busy! And OMG twin girls!!!! argh! They had better be pretty, to make this all worth it! I'm thinking that by the end of next chapter, I'll be ready for an heir vote! Wow, I would have never guessed there would be 6 choices!!!
